Mr. Prakash Krishna Waghe Res. Runde, He is a tribal farmer from Kalyan. Have survey no. 0.65 at 87/3. Rain fed is agricultural land. Earlier he was cultivating paddy crop during kharif season relying on Monsoon. So, after harvesting the rice crop, he had to work elsewhere as a farm laborer for the sustenance of the family. As there was no other source of financial income for year-round employment, he had to work hard throughout the year to support the family. Meanwhile, Agriculture Officer and Extension Officer from Agriculture Department Panchayat Samiti Welfare visited the farm and gave information about Birsa Munda Agriculture Revolution Scheme (Outside Tribal Area) for employment throughout the year. The agriculture officer encouraged him to take advantage of the new irrigation well to facilitate perennial irrigation and create employment in his field. After that helped him to fill online application under Birsa Munda Krishi Kranti Yojana (Outside Tribal Area) Scheme.

  

 

he got the benefit of irrigation well under Birsa Munda Krishi Kranti Yojana from Agriculture Department in the financial year 2023-24. For that he received a grant of Rs.2,50,000/- from the government. Due to the facility of irrigation through wells, vegetable crops such as okra, fenugreek, garlic, onion have been planted on 60 guntha area during Rabi season this year. Also gram and pulse crops such as tur on dam have been cultivated. With the availability of assured irrigation facilities, he have planted mango 110 Trees, lemon-70 Trees, coconut-100 Trees and other fruit crops on his farm. This has helped him to get employment throughout the year. This year, about Rs. 1,50,000/- lakh profit is assured. Due to financial stability, he will be able to run the family life smoothly along with the education of his children and it will help him to get employment in his village for years

               Panchayat Samiti Kalyan in collaboration with Department of Agriculture has availed the benefit of new irrigation well due to the facility of assured irrigation. So, he successes cultivate different and year-round crops in less area  Because  this  will

definitely make a positive change in his financial situation. A tribal farmer like him, a farm laborer, found a new way of earning money as employment was available in his village Runde.
